Donation of Goods and Services

You may be a singer prepared to offer your services at a charity fundraising event or a business with office furniture or equipment you no longer have use for. Several agencies throughout Kings County rely on the generosity of the community for donated goods and services, also known as “in-kind” contributions, to operate their organization. These donations are extremely valuable and preserve resources for direct community services.
When a donation of goods or services is offered, we provide this information to our affiliate member agencies along with the location of the donation and delivery details. Goods and services are made available on a first-come, first-served basis. Donations of vehicles or large appliances are accepted only if an affiliate member agency is capable of accepting the donation directly.
Kings United Way conducts special projects throughout the year and welcomes your help. Each year, a point in time survey is done to acquire information from the homeless population in our region about their housing and support service needs. If you wish to help with this project or other special projects, please contact the United Way office at info@kingsunitedway.org
PayPal is a convenient and cost-effective solution for collecting donations online. Simply click on your donation amount and you will be directed to the PayPal site to complete your donation. All donations are tax deductible.
A one-time gift will make a significant difference to your community. One-time gifts may be made by cash, check, or PayPal. Please discuss this option with your campaign coordinator or if you would like additional information on how you can make a one-time contribution, please contact us at info@kingsunitedway.org.
One-time gifts may also be achieved through special fundraising events or collections at your social club or faith group. You have the option of designating your gift to the charity of your choice.
One of the most popular methods used to contribute to local organizations is through workplace payroll deduction. The pledge form used for payroll deduction is a four-part form that requires pertinent donor information and gives you, the donor, the opportunity to designate your pledge to the organization of your choice. Once completed, a copy of the pledge form is returned to Kings United Way for processing, a copy is retained by the donor, one copy is forwarded to the human resources or payroll department of your employer and one copy is sent to the designated agency of your choice, if applicable. Pledge forms are available through your campaign coordinator toolkit or can be downloaded by clicking here.
