Kings United Way is focused on building partnership with local stakeholders to develop the best community possible.

We advance this mission by empowering our citizens to donate their time, talents and money to work with the best possible partners to make sure services for people in need are available.

Whether it is addressing chronic homelessness, child health and wellness, or advocacy for seniors, our goal is to develop a community of healthy children, thriving students, responsive adults, and active seniors.

Day of Caring, October 2, 2015

BE A HERO FOR YOUR COMMUNITY!!

Okay, Team. The day we know you have been waiting for is JUST around the corner. Sure, October 2 seems like it's still three months away (probably because it is...), but the volunteer opportunities are posted and they will get filled fast!

For those of you who are not sure what Day of Caring is all about, welcome to Day of Caring 101:

Day of Caring is an annual event (this is our 8th year!) where Kings United Way invites volunteers to join us for a community breakfast and then sends them out to complete one-time service projects at Kings County charities. The Kings County non-profit community works hard every single day to serve the residents of our cities and we want to give you the opportunity to share your time and talent with these worthy organizations.

As always, the day begins with a recognition ceremony during breakfast. This year's breakfast will be held in the Bingo Hall at Tachi Palace and we are very excited to have Hanford-born, Dr. Joseph Castro, the President of Fresno State University as our key-note speaker.

This year's theme is Be A Hero for Your Community! We want you to show us your superhero strength, skill, and compassion on October 2!
